  • Not bad but needs more input!!!

    Just preordered this book and downloaded the day it was released. Im impressed with the work gone into this ibook but i do have three negative comments to make... It doesn't include all Eldar models which i was hoping it would! (You cant say Eldar painting guide and then not include all Eldar) You can get most of the info you need in the latest version of White Dwarf on how to paint Eldar rather than his iBook! The cost of this for what it is now is not worth the money unless it was expanded! What would make this an even better purchase is if it included all the models in the Eldar range and the different races and craftworlds of Eldar as alternative painting options. The way i read it is that this is a guide on how to paint Eldar which in my view should cover all models whether new or old. Does anyone know based on other purchases of Games Workshop painting guides whether this is something that will be added in future in the versioning? I Hope so! My advice, Just download the sample until its updated hopefully!

    When Games Workshop started producing these e book guides they were only a couple of quid. This one costs nearly £10 and adds absolutely nothing to what was already published in the current issue of White Dwarf. The colours to use and methods are exactly the same yet the ebook painting guide is nearly twice as much. I wouldn't mind if this guide was perhaps a masterclass guide or covered all eldar models or gave detail on extra craftworld colour scheme. But it doesn't. I already have white dwarf so I have just wasted £10. How do I get a refund? Don't buy the painting guides. Just pick up the appropriate white dwarf and save yourself some cash.
