    I am in awe of RG's writing. The story never wanes, and the care and crafting of the characters is masterful. Like others I couldn't put Lethal White down. Do yourself a favour and read this and the other Strike novels NOW!!!

    I looked forward to this coming out and,, I wasn’t disappointed. Another really good story from JK’s mind. I had to purposely slow down as I didn’t want to blast through it but rather, savour each page. I so thoroughly enjoyed this latest yarn of the detecting duo. I so hope that JK will work on another of this series. Maybe next year hopefully??

  • Good plot but slightly too descriptive

    I’ve followed JKR in all her writings, starting as a obsessed fan of Harry Potter, and enjoyed all her books. Although I always liked this one, probably is my least favourite. Her descriptive language was a bit much sometimes, boring me a little and making me think ‘get on with it!’. But otherwise, fantastic twist in the plot and loved how the complicated relationship between Robin and Strike manifested even more.

    A wonderfully enjoyable romp: a rather unbelievable heroine, attractive hero (maimed) of course ,high end moments in London’s West End and almost believable horse lore. A suitably evil damaged good looking baddy helped it all along. A touch too long.
