    As someone who claims not to enjoy reading I downloaded this book on a whim to take another shot at this whole reading thing. And I’m glad I did, I finished this book in a week reading it before and after work everyday, it’s truly gripping, the plots twists and turns and is never predictable, Claire and Patrick are both immensely interesting characters and their relationship alone had me hooked! Hoping for a follow up book in the future.

    Absolutely fantastic full of twists and turns that were completely unexpected but not ridiculous. The detail and intricacy of the storytelling was superb. I was gripped throughout.

    Really don’t get the hype with this. I quite enjoyed the opening and set up of having to work for the police re meeting a possible serial killer but it went quickly down hill for me from there. Didn’t enjoy the script type writing which just made me feel like I’d stumbled into a bad film and the main character was very unlikeable. Not for me.

    I have been waiting to read this for over a year, and I can honestly say it was worth the wait! The story is one I have never come across -it’s completely original. There are a couple twists and turns that had my jaw dropping that i just HAD to keep reading. I will say about 80% through i did wonder where it was going but around 85-90% it was back to ‘I need to finish this’ (in a great way). If you have read The Girl Before you’ll love this book to! This book I will recommended to everyone who loves a good Mystery Thriller.

    Believe Me is a psychological thriller that has so many plot twists it was difficult to keep up! Claire is a British actress in America who desperately needs a green card. When offered the opportunity to work with the police to catch a killer in exchange for the green card, she jumps at it. However not everything is as it seems and Claire just might get more than she bargained for... With an interesting and intriguing plot I was definitely looking forward to reading this one however for me the writing style wasn’t great and I found that off putting. I didn’t like to script style dialogue and found it difficult to follow at times. Claire, the main protagonist, isn’t very likeable and I found it hard to connect with her in any meaningful way. Therefore I wasn’t particularly invested in what happened to her. Parts of the story were intriguing and kept me turning the pages but there was too much back and forth for my liking. I felt like I had whiplash! Overall not the best thriller I’ve read but certainly not the worst. If you’re a fan of thrillers that leave you feeling unsure and are comfortable with some tough subject matters (self-harm, BDSM) then you may enjoy this one, it just wasn’t really for me in the end. 2 stars ⭐️⭐️ Thank you to the NetGalley and the publisher for providing a copy.     Omg j.p Delaney you did it again! U talent has no borders ! This book is amazing. Sadly only took me 2 days to read it. I was finishing reading at work with the risk of being fired! Plz write again soon. I cannot wait for a new book. U r amazing.
