How to Fold an Origami Butterfly As a class we read the book Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes by Eleanor Coerr. We saw how important symbols were to Sadako and her family and the role they play in people’s lives. We decided to choose a topic that was important to us and to create an origami symbol that represents this subject.
Our subject was the environment. We believe that the environment is very important and we must look after it. We chose a butterfly to represent the environment.
This book contains a procedure on how to fold an origami butterfly. It uses videos to show example of how to create each fold.
We aim to create an artwork out of origami butterflies. For this, we need your help. After folding your butterfly please send it to us so we can create our artwork.
