    Oh dear. The lead heroine is crushingly enthusiastic. The FBI can't stop telling her how terrific she is, but sack her any way. And she goes where police fear to tread. But it's OK, a long bath and a linen dress will out the worlds to rights..... Kay Scarpetta she is not.

    I always finish a book even if I am not enjoying it and I just couldn't I was sick to the back teeth of Tracey couldn't stand the character or how the author constantly complimented her get on with the actual story of which there was very little!

    I began reading this on my travels round South Asia and soon became hooked. The story is brilliant and the book well written (aside from a few errors that could be fixed with editing). I think everyone's been a little too harsh ! I've downloaded all three of Julian's stories ! Hope there is more

    Sadly I gave up about a third through the book. Too naive and too many irritating errors with unbelievable characters. The author's style of almost bludgeoning one with what she believes is most off putting. Needs serious editing.

    I found this book predictable, maybe I just read too much of the genre. I personally did not like the main character, she maybe good at her job but when it comes to her relationship with her boyfriend she didn't even attempt to try understand how he was feeling, just how it affected her. I know she was working on a high profile case but still some empathy for him would have been nice.

    It is supposed to be about an FBI profiler,but bears little comparison to Criminal Minds, however some interesting characters emerge in the course of the investigation. A bit shocked that the author refers to the heroine having worked at the hospital for the "criminally insane" although their use of other psychiatric terminology seemed accurate. A good story, a good plot but style of writing too naive/old fashioned for my taste.
